    Responsibilities

     

     

    Syntelligent Analytic Solutions LLC is seeking Apprentice-level Human Geography/Regional Area Research Analysts to support current work in Springfield VA.  

     

    These are entry level, developmental services with typical experience being less than 3 years. Services requiring apprentice level support will require a person to have minimal experience in providing these services. The work of an apprentice will necessitate learning and oversight from a skilled person of a higher level. Their work will be scrutinized by senior personnel--Government and/or Contractor.

     

    • Researchers gather information relevant to mission needs which also have a geospatial component; this may already be in the form of spatial data or may require additional geospatial analysis.
    • Researchers will use sophisticated analytical judgement using search algorithms and best open source research and harvesting techniques/practices from crowd sourcing sites, foreign governments, company/industry-specific websites, scientific/academic journals, web aggregators, commercially-produced datasets, VGI, NGO-produced datasets and other “sites” to fulfill customer requirements for data.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • At least 1 year but less than 3 years of geospatial analysis experience.  
    • HS Diploma.

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Active TS/SCI
    • Familiarity with MS Office, data mining, ability to develop and manipulate, and maintain databases.
    • Demonstrated experience in creating visual aids (graphs, charts, etc.) and drafting, editing, and proofreading documents for publishing.
    • Familiarity with ArcView, ArcGIS, Remote View, ArcIMS, NIMAMuse, ERDAS Imagine, MR SID Remote View, ERDAS Imagine, Microstation, AutoCAD, raster products, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, MS FrontPage, Photoshop, HTML, Frame Maker

     

    Desired Skills:

    • The successful candidate must be a self-starter and capable of working independently with minimal or no supervision and guidance
    • Candidate must be able to multitask and deliver quality products within specified timelines.
    • Candidate should work well as part of a team effort

     

    Security Requirements

    • TS/SCI security clearance is required
