    Responsibilities

    Syntelligent is seeking a Foreign Material Exploitation Laboratory Support Technician with a current TS/SCI clearance for a funded/awarded contract for work in the Suitland/Washington Metro Area. 
     
    As the Foreign Material Exploitation Laboratory Support Technician, you will be working on projects critical to the National Security of the United States and crucial to development of systems and capabilities.  You will be providing direct support to Federal Government and contractor teams identifying the capabilities and vulnerabilities of foreign equipment, providing analysis and material support to ongoing projects.  You will be working as part of an established team with a long record of successful support.
     
    Tasks will include:
    • Prepare and analyze material samples for identification and/or characterization
    • Provide support to operation, maintenance, and calibration of material and diagnostic equipment to include: scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, optical microscopy, gas meters, HAZMAT ID/FTIR, radiation detection instruments, and other lab/material handling equipment.
    • Support techncial examinations to disassemble and identify components and perform associated material analysis.
    • Support material handling equipment (overhead crane, forklift, pallet jack, and stock picker) maintenance, repair, and inspections.

    Qualifications

    Experience:

    • Two (2) years of laboratory experience. 
    • Knowledge of and certification on equipment supported (scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, optical microscopy, gas meters, HAZMAT ID/FTIR, radiation detection instruments, and other lab/material handling equipment) and required certifications (overhead crane (overhead category 2 / cab operated category 3), forklift (classes 1 /4 / 5) pallet jack (class 3), and stock picker (class 2)).

    Education:

    No specific educational requirements.

    Certifications: 

    • Overhead crane (overhead category 2 / cab operated category 3)
    • Forklift (classes 1 /4 / 5)
    • Pallet jack (class 3), and
    • Stock picker (class 2).

    Clearance:

    Must possess a current Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).  You will also be indoctrinated into Special Access Programs (SAP).
