    Syntelligent is seeking Senior Counterintelligence Specialists for awarded and funded work at DIA HQ in Washington, DC.
    Tasks include:
    • Providing all-source counterintelligence analysis to the full range of investigative activities to include the assessment and analysis of data for evidence or indicators of espionage activity; preparation of reports, timelines, link analysis, or other innovative methods to convey findings in a meaningful way
    • Recognizing the threats posed to DIA from FIE and insider threat, and understanding and applying CI activity to neutralize, degrade, or exploit the threat.
    • Developing and presenting tailored threat assessments/briefings or threat data for DIA missions, personnel or locations.
    • Assisting OPSEC program managers to develop organizational OPSEC plans
    • Producing risk assessments of CI threats and vulnerabilities and assessing the level of CI risk to DIA affiliates
    • Reviewing multiple threat streams in order to identify CI indicators, find FIE nexus, and recommend appropriate actions utilizing multiple databases, analytical products, and CI regulations and policies to protect the agency from FIE penetration and collection activities.
    • Identifying threats to DIA personnel who travel to foreign countries, identify foreign threats or influence to DIA personnel through foreign contacts, and identify foreign threat posed by foreign visitors to DIA facilities
    • Researching and developing CIAR training products, managing SharePoint sites for CIAR training events, and assisting in CIAR training reconciliation for employees.



    Requirements/Experience for Sr CI Specialist:
    • Must be a graduate from an accredited CI Special Agent credentialing school.
    • Must have a minimum of 10 years cumulative experience conducting CI collections, Cl functional services, CI investigations, or CI operations.
    • Must have a comprehensive understanding of national and Defense guidance, community, and practices pertaining to CI.
    • (REQUIRED) Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (or higher DIE Certification) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire (

    ONLY Acceptable CI Credentialing courses are:
    • Defense CI Agent Course from JCITA
    • CI Special Agent Course from US Army Intelligence Center and School
    • Basic Investigator's Course from FLETC (with either Air Force Office of Special Investigations OR Naval Criminal Investigator's Service add-on training)
    • Marine Air Ground Task Force -- Counterintelligence (Basic CI) from the Navy Marine Intelligence Training Center
    • (Formerly) The Intelligence Officer Basic Course -- CI/HUMINT from the US Army Intelligence Center and School
    • (Formerly) The Special Investigations Course from the US Air Force Special Investigations Academy.
    • TS/SCI clearance is mandatory, and current CI Poly is preferred or you must have the ability to obtain one prior to start.
