Responsibilities

Syntelligent is seeking candidates for a Sr. GIS Data Manager to support our customer in St. Louis MO.  All candidates must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI level security clearance and willingness to obtain a POLY level clearance upon request is REQUIRED to be considered.

 

Primary Responsibilities

GIS Data Managers will design and deliver operations research applications (databases, websites, tools, and products) that are geospatially enabled to support a multitude of intelligence issues. The intent is to develop automation to streamline GA and IA processes to improve consistency and quality. Based on intelligence requirements, they develop new geospatial methods and technologies from an operations research framework. They work with graphic cartographers, graphic designers, and ESRI technologies to implement and maintain geographic visualization standards. They shall provide a full range of support in the production and maintenance of finished GEOINT services, specifically, but not limited to:

  • Generate scripts to automate the production of new elevation products and XML metadata
  • Support SF Foundation Data production efforts
  • Author and publish SF Foundation Data products as web services
  • Develop applications that enhance data accessibility/discoverability/dissemination
  • Improve process efficiency
  • Develop processes leveraging existing Oracle/PostgreSQVESRI databases to assist in data production efforts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Utilize advanced programming techniques, using the following: HTML 5/Javascript, ArcObjects, Python, VBA, PERL, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, Geospatial Analysis, Statistics, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Arc SDE
  • Author/lnterpret XML and JSON
  • Use NET, Python, C#, C++ and/or JAVA programming for scripting and geodatabase development.
  • Work with ESRI Spatial Database Engine
  • Utilize AWS and S3 Cloud Tools
  • Work on multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines under fast-paced conditions; must be available to perform duties in a multiple-shift environment, as necessary.

 

Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain a POLY is REQUIRED for consideration.

  • (MAY BE REQUIRED) Current Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (IFPC) (or higher DIE Certification such as GPC-F) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire (https://dodcertpmo.defense.gov/IFPC/).
